Perthshire Scottish Paperweights- From $30

Glass paperweights of exquisite quality were made for a brief period, principally in France in the middle of the 19th century. Although the tradition is not Scottish, the arrival in Scotland of a family of Spanish glass blowers combined with the awareness of the exquisite old French pieces sparked the creation of Perthshire paperweights in the 1960’s. From its early days, the firm destroyed all seconds. While the craftsmen have rediscovered and employ old techniques, the designs are all original and always changing.
